September NASCAR Sprint Cup Series Tickets On Sale Now
Tickets for the Chevy Rock & Roll 400 go on sale Saturday, May 24! |
All remaining tickets for the Chevy Rock & Roll 400 NASCAR Sprint Cup Series race at Richmond International Raceway, scheduled for Saturday, September 6, are on sale to the general public now. Guests can purchase tickets—which start at $80—by clicking here, calling the ticket office at 866-455-RACE (7223) (Monday-Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. and on weekends from 9:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m.), or stopping by the ticket office at 600 E. Laburnum Ave., Richmond, VA 23222, Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. The Chevy Rock & Roll 400 at Richmond International Raceway marks "One Last Race to Make The Chase." After the checkered flag drops on Saturday, September 6, the field will be set for this season's Chase for the NASCAR Sprint Cup. After the Chevy Rock & Roll 400, only the top 12 drivers in the point standings will be eligible to win the series championship, which is decided over the final 10 races of the season. Because the Chevy Rock & Roll 400 is the 26th race on the schedule, the race will serve as the cutoff point, rendering the event “One Last Race to Make The Chase.” Some intense battles have been witnessed at the Chevy Rock & Roll 400 races over the past several years. This year is expected to be just as exciting, with so many talented drivers looking to earn a berth in the Chase for the NASCAR Sprint Cup. Who will be in and who will be out? Last year, Dale Earnhardt Jr. narrowly missed a shot at the championship. In 2006, Kasey Kahne bumped Tony Stewart from the top 12. And in 2004, Jeremy Mayfield won the Chevy Rock & Roll 400 to vault his way into The Chase. Fans won’t want to miss this one! If the Chevy Rock & Roll 400 has as much on-track excitement as the most recent NASCAR Sprint Cup Series race at Richmond International Raceway (the May 3, Crown Royal Presents The Dan Lowry 400), fans can expect plenty of drama. After Denny Hamlin seemed to have the checkered flag in his hand, the Chesterfield, Virginia native cut a tire, which ended his hopes for a hometown win. Just a few laps later, it looked like Dale Earnhardt Jr. would finally take home a win—something he hasn’t done since 2006. But after he made contact with Kyle Busch in the closing laps, NASCAR’s most popular driver fell back and the lead was taken by Clint Bowyer. Fans are still talking about the Busch vs. Earnhardt Jr. incident and probably will continue to do so for years to come. Tickets start at $80 and can be purchased by clicking here, calling the ticket office at 866-455-RACE (7223) or stopping by the ticket office at 600 E. Laburnum Ave., Richmond, VA 23222. Additionally, tickets are available now for the Emerson Radio 250 NASCAR Nationwide Series race and Fas Mart Pole Qualifying for the Sprint Cup Series, which is scheduled for Friday, September 5. Reserved seats are $45 and general admission seats are $35 in advance. Children 12 and under are admitted free with a ticketed adult in general admission sections on Friday night only.
