Danica Patrick To Test At Richmond International Raceway Monday, June 16

Andretti Green Racing teammates Danica Patrick and Hideki Mutoh will test at Richmond International Raceway on Monday, June 16 in advance of the 2008 SunTrust Indy Challenge IndyCar Series race at America's Premier Short Track. The grandstands will be open, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. free of charge, to the public and all fans must enter through Gate 70 outside of Turn 4.

Patrick, who became the first female driver to win an IndyCar Series race earlier this season at Twin Ring Motegi in Japan, is currently sixth in the IndyCar Series points standings following a 10^th place finish at Texas on June 7. Patrick, a three-time winner of the series’ most popular driver award, has made three starts in the SunTrust Indy Challenge with a best finish of sixth last season.

Mutoh is in his first full IndyCar Series season and trails Patrick by just five points in seventh place in the IndyCar Series standings. Mutoh has four top-10 finishes this season, including a seventh-place showing in the 92^nd running of the Indianapolis 500. Mutoh matched his season-best finish with a sixth-place running at Texas.

Tickets are on sale now for the SunTrust Indy Challenge weekend at Richmond International Raceway. The SunTrust Indy Challenge IndyCar Series race is scheduled to run “under the lights” on Saturday, June 28, when the drivers will hit speeds of 180 mph. Saturday’s ticket also includes a seat for the James River Grounds 100 USAC Silver Crown Series race. Tickets for Saturday are $35 (reserved) and $30 (general admission). The weekend begins Friday, June 27, with NBC12 Day, featuring practice and pole qualifying for the SunTrust Indy Challenge, USAC Silver Crown Series and USAC National Sprint Car Series, followed by the USAC National Sprint Car Series race. Friday’s ticket also includes an autograph session with all of the IndyCar Series drivers. Friday’s tickets are $15. Children 12 and under are admitted free in general admission sections both nights.
